What consulting covers Our WordPress consulting services cover whatever the decision requires
Consulting can mean our solutions team building your migration plan or multi-brand architecture. It can also mean our engineers reviewing the work your team is already executing.

Migration off another DXP/CMS
We define the migration approach before any build begins. It includes content model, phased rollout, SEO preservation protocol, and integration rebuild plan.
Videojet: 28 sites, 12,000 pages, 22 languages migrated off Adobe CQ5.
Multi-brand unification
Multiple brands, one governed architecture. We design the platform model, assess OnePress fit, and map the governance structure for editorial teams across properties.
Cox Automotive: 8 brands unified. 103% more engagement. 100% more leads.
Architecture overhaul and modernization
Your WordPress environment has grown past what it was built for? We assess what’s there, map the technical debt, and produce a recommended architecture with a prioritized roadmap.
Up to 60% faster development cycles post-modernization.
Performance improvement
If your Core Web Vitals are below threshold, or your editorial publish cycles are slow, we baseline, identify the bottlenecks, and produce a prioritized improvement plan with projected outcomes.
VinSolutions: 48% Core Web Vitals improvement post-migration.
Editorial experience redesign
We map your current editorial workflow, identify where marketing teams get stuck, and recommend a Gutenberg-based architecture that lets them publish independently.
Private Media: 50% reduction in development costs after editorial rebuild.
Advisory and team guidance
Your team is executing. We review architecture decisions, flag risks, validate approaches, and keep the build on the right path. The same expertise, but without taking over the project.
6-year average client partnership. 96% satisfaction.

AI readiness Prioritize AI capabilities and know what to do about them
Most enterprises have an AI initiative and a platform that isn’t ready for it. We run an AI Readiness Quickscan to map where you stand across all five dimensions, then help you sequence the work.
AEO implementation
Does your platform get cited by AI tools like ChatGPT, Claude and Perplexity? We assess where you stand and design a solution that improves it.
AI-led editorial
Automated alt-text, taxonomy tagging, metadata, drafts – working inside your platform. We design the workflow and guardrails.
AI-led personalization
Sitecore Personalize and Adobe Target cost seven figures. Owned AI personalization on WordPress infrastructure doesn’t. We design it.
WordPress as AI-integrated platform
MCP servers, RAG pipelines, AI provider orchestration. We turn WordPress into an AI-integrated platform.
AI-accelerated development
AI-led design, coding, QA, and DevOps reduce delivery time, while improving quality. We consult on how to enable that.

Start with 20 free hours
In those 20 hours, we map your current platform, identify the constraints, and produce an initial roadmap with scope and budget. You get a clear picture of what the engagement requires, before any contract is signed.
rtCamp vs other WordPress firms Some decisions need strategy. Most firms work at execution level
Most WordPress firms
**(Inferior choice)**rtCamp
(Superior choice)Execution: They build to your requirements. Execution: Architecture, solution design, strategy. We help you figure out what to spec and whether the spec is right. What you get: They scope the build. The plan comes as part of the pitch. You can’t separate the two. What you get: A platform architecture assessment, phased roadmap, and business case. Before any build begins. What you leave with: A proposal tied to their delivery. Not a document you own. What you leave with: A plan you own. Act on it with us, with another team, or internally. When scope changes: It re-opens the contract. Every dependency that surfaces mid-project becomes a change order. When scope changes: It doesn’t. We map the constraints in discovery so the build starts on solid ground. After launch: The engagement ends. Hypercare, governance, and enablement are separate SOWs (if they exist at all). After launch: 30-day Hypercare, editorial enablement, and an Evolution retainer are standard.
How it worksOur full delivery model that starts with consulting
Consulting sits inside the Audit phase. The plan it produces drives everything that follows.
Audit
Audit
We map your current platform end to end. Content architecture, integrations, custom functionality, SEO baseline, URL structure, technical debt. For complex engagements, discovery runs 100–200 hours. Your first 20 are free.

Pilot
Pilot
We prove the architecture before we build at scale. Our proof-of-concept validates the technical approach, the content migration process, and the editorial experience against real conditions.

Phased build
Phased build
The full build runs in parallel with your live site. Nothing goes offline. Content is migrated in validated batches. Integrations are rebuilt and tested against production conditions before the DNS switch.

Enablement
Enablement
Your team needs to own the platform after we leave. We build that capability before launch, providing editorial handbook, role-specific training sessions and governance framework.

Hypercare
Hypercare
A dedicated rtCamp engineering team is on standby for the 30 days after launch. We provide active monitoring, rapid-response support, and issue resolution.

Evolution
Evolution
The platform needs to keep pace with the organization. We work against your roadmap on a predictable retainer.

Why us Most firms pick one. We cover all three
Strategy without implementation is a deck that sits in a folder. Implementation without strategy is a build that solves the wrong problem. We work across all three in one engagement, with one team.
Strategy
We help you decide: which platform, architecture or approach; what it will cost, in what phases, and where the risks are.
Architecture
The platform decisions made before a line of code is written determine whether the build survives the next three years.
Implementation
We build what we design. The engineers who define the architecture are the engineers who implement it.

Frequently asked questions
Do we have to build with you after the consulting engagement?
No. The consulting engagement is independent of delivery. You leave with a platform architecture assessment, a phased roadmap, and a business case. You can act on it with us, with another team, or internally. We document it either way. Most clients continue with us.
How long does a consulting engagement take?
It depends on scope. Some audits can take two to three weeks. A full discovery for a complex multi-brand consolidation or enterprise migration will run longer. The 20 free hours are the starting point.
What exactly do we walk away with at the end of consulting?
Three things: a platform architecture assessment, a phased roadmap with scope and budget, and a business case you can take to your committee.
How do you charge for consulting beyond the first 20 hours?
At a fixed hourly rate, scoped transparently after the initial discovery.
At what point does consulting turn into a build engagement?
After the audit produces a roadmap you’re happy with, you decide whether to proceed to Pilot. Nothing moves to build without your sign-off on the plan.
